10 Second Challenge…

One of the biggest challenges most people face in todays fast-paced world is being able to focus on exactly what they want.

Let me demonstrate what I mean…

In a moment I want you to close your eyes and for 10 seconds, think of absolutely nothing.

Zilch…

Nada…

For the duration of those 10 seconds, your mind must be totally blank, without a single thought.

You can’t even count the seconds…

Ready?

Go…

How was it?

If you’re anything like me when I first did this exercise, you barely made it past a few seconds.

That’s because we all have so much going on in our heads, it’s so hard for us to stay focused – even for a short period of time.

This used to be a constant challenge for me…

I had so much going on in my head, I always felt stressed and overwhelmed.

Until…

…I came across a mediation audio that has not only improved my focus, it has also helped me feel much calmer and relaxed – even when everyone around me is losing their heads.

Doing these meditation exercises daily has made a big difference in my life. In fact, on those days when I miss them for whatever reason, I really do notice the difference in the way I feel…

And in my tolerance (or lack off) levels.

One day I intend to travel all the way to Tibet and train with Zen monks. Just think how peaceful, relaxed and stress free you’ll feel sitting there meditating on the top of the world.

But until then, I will continue to connect with self and source by listening to these audio meditations.

  2. I too had to do this activity a few times and found it difficult to focus on only the task of focusing on nothing. I was initially focused on the time passing and not of the time focusing. Great exercise.

    Thanks Bubblz – meditation is such an empowring experience. It took me a while to get into and now I can’t do without it.
